We held a 3 day flower festival hoping that it would encourage people to visit St Hilda’s Church. We raised just over £1000 and had 155 visitors

The events were as follows:-

FRIDAY 4th October -We started the weekend with an open evening with cheese & wine to view the flower displays

SATURDAY 5th October – The Church was open from 10.00am to 4.00pm for viewing with tea, coffee & cakes available. Our monthly coffee morning was also held on the Saturday

SUNDAY 6th October –We held our Harvest Festival Service donating food goods for the Welcome Centre after which the Church was open until 4pm with tea, coffee & cakes available

We asked the following groups to participate as the theme of the Flower Festival was the groups at or near St Hilda’s Church.

with a friendly team to meet & greet visitors

We even made sure the outside looked floral………….

and we also had roses to give away “with love from St Hilda’s Church”
